I have always been in awe of children's book illustrators- how they take a story and find a way to visually bring it to life. The New York Times Book Review recently released their Best Illustrated Children's Books of 2009 and it is, as expected, a beautiful selection, but really there are just so many amazing picture books out there. If you have not wandered through the children's section of the library or bookstore lately, I suggest you give it a whirl. There is always something new, and something old, to appreciate.
