post-baby diet

This is heaven on a plate (also known as pastrami on rye)

If you are reading this post then there are two things you can be sure of...

1) Sweet Pea is in the world.

2) I am pigging out on deli sandwiches.

While pregnant, I was very good at avoiding all the foods that are on the "might not be a great idea to indulge in" list. Yet, at the same time, I could not help but fantasize about the the delicacies I was going to stuff my face with once the baby was welcomed into the world and I got the okay from the doctor. Mostly I wanted loads of deli, soft cheese, and just one perfectly cold can of Coca-Cola. Is that too much to ask for? To see these things come together in a single meal would be, for me, the ultimate "push present."

  1. and now i feel horrible. the ONLY thing i avoided was raw fish. i ate runny yolks like they were going out of style. :/
